The United States is deploying the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier to the Middle East. The vessel will join the USS George H. W. Bush and USS George Washington already present in the region.

The Wall Street Journal reported October 24 local time that the USS George Washington, located in the Arabian Sea, is conducting large scale munitions resupply operations.

The carrier is being restocked with bunker buster penetrator bombs and long range standoff missiles.

USS George Washington Captain Nicholas DeLeo stated the vessel is ready for both reactive and preemptive response actions.
